About Tara

Tara has worked in the commercial real estate industry since 1988. She began her career at The Flynn Company working in the accounting department as Assistant Controller from 1988-1992. In 1992, she relocated to Annapolis and worked as an Asset Manager on the Koll Bren Opportunity Funds where she developed and implemented real estate strategies for 2.2 million square feet of office, flex, industrial and retail real estate projects. She coordinated the capital renovation of functionally obsolete and environmentally impaired assets by orchestrating teams of contractors, architects, engineers and leasing agents to achieve above average returns on investments. As Director of Real Estate for SAP America, Inc., Tara negotiated the acquisition, land development approval and construction contract for the American headquarters on a 190-acre property in Newtown Square, PA. In addition, she developed and implemented a strategic plan for offices throughout the country re-engineering office standards, creating a facilities management team and lease administration plan resulting in reduced overhead and broader exposure. As a licensed real estate broker in Maryland, Tara provides full-service representation to clients including contract negotiations, financial analysis, due diligence and coordination of land development approvals, financing and closing documents. She also provides investment advisory services for shopping centers, office, industrial, multi-family and student housing projects. Tara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Villanova University and is the Broker for Stout Real Estate & Development, LLC.


About Tom

Tom grew up working in the family construction business in Chester County, Pennsylvania and after some college he returned to take over the business. He expanded the home renovation company into a firm that oversaw the construction of new housing developments. As the economy changed in the late 80’s he transitioned the business toward growth opportunities within the commercial markets of Southeast PA, New Jersey & Delaware. He relocated to Philadelphia and focused on commercial tenant-fit out until selling his company & relocating to Maryland. In Maryland, Tom continued to work as a construction manager consultant and raced sailboats professionally. He started a full-service marine business in Annapolis MD and with his expertise in coordination and management was able to expand that to include setting up mobile marinas for large scale regattas on the east coast from Key West to Newport RI. When the recession hit in 2008 decimating the pleasure craft marine industry, Tom re-focused his attention to construction management. He took the business contacts he developed from the marine business & started another commercial construction company focused on tenant fit-outs, building & facility management which was rolled into the formation of Stout Real Estate & Development. Tom is a proven entrepreneur which has led him to be an industry leader as a self-employed construction manager or marine professional throughout his career. He excels in devising short and long-term plans to achieve clients objectives to create and maintain functional work spaces. His business network includes an array of subcontractors and service providers to meet specific needs of each client.
